Proper Yoga Meditation Breathing for Beginners

As a newcomer to yoga meditation, I’m really interested in developing a proper yoga meditation breathing technique. Now, most of us have been breathing for some time now and you’d think there’s nothing there to teach, but in order to get the most from your yoga meditation routine, the way you breathe is especially important. Ozzie Jacobs does a simply wonderful job here demonstrating correct breathing here in this short video.

Focused breathing provides calm and a relaxed state of mind and is one of the best ways to start practicing your yoga meditation breathing skills. Controlled rhythmic breathing through the nose and correct posture contribute to a focused and simultaneously relaxed mental state of alertness.
