Yoga Meditation Benefits Everyone

If you stop and think about it, there are a lot of yoga meditation benefits to be gained from regular practice. I mean, not counting all of the health and fitness gains that you can achieve, there are also the increases in mental and spiritual well being. Rosie Acosta, who is here writing for Fox News, lists just five general benefits in her article. Now, these should be enough to convince anyone. But what do I know, I’m pretty easy to convince.

In my adult life, I have been very active. I’ve run a few marathons; I’ve done some swimming, weight lifting and Pilates. When I discovered Yoga six years ago, I thought it would just be another fun activity to add to the mix. The more I continued to practice though I discovered that Yoga is so much more than just calisthenics.

Now, as a Yogaworks certified teacher and yogi I know that there is a science behind this practice. It is rich in benefits for your mind, body and spirit. It has become such a vital part of my everyday routine. There are so many different types of Yoga out there, and it is important to know which is right for your body. The benefits of doing this practice are beneficial to everyone.

Whether you achieve yoga meditation benefits just from its effects on your body, or on a more profound level spiritually, any efforts directed toward yoga will carry you forward. How far you wish to go is entirely up to you. I’d predict that the further you travel down that path, the more you’ll want to see what’s just over the next hill or around the next bend. Yoga has a way of enticing you to go further and discover more about yourself than you ever knew was there. It’s a journey of discovery withing yourself.

I was in yoga the other day. I was in full lotus position. My chakras were all aligned. My mind is cleared of all clatter and I’m looking out of my third eye and everything that I’m supposed to be doing.
