Without regular yoga, however, when an individual is under stress for long periods of time, symptoms of depression and anxiety can arise if they are also susceptible. Of significant concern is the occurrence of depression in pregnancy. Pregnancy in particular is both a physically and emotionally demanding and stressful time in a woman’s life.
